Animal life, native flora and ever-popular riverside pursuits will be celebrated at a community event at the Orari River mouth on Saturday, March 27.
More than 300 people attended the first Community Economic Development Conference in Waitakere City. Around 70 per cent of attendees were from the community and voluntary sector, but there was also a significant business and local government presence.
Anyone who makes a donation of $5 or more to an approved ‘donee' organisation can claim a tax credit from Inland Revenue - provided the claim is supported by a valid receipt.
Zumba classes will be starting at the Oranga Community Centre in Term 2.
